Graduation project- junior pAPER
The Graduation Project has four parts: a research paper, product, portfolio, and oral presentation before a review board. These four components are designed to be a culmination of the entire high school experience. To complete the Graduation Project, students will apply skills needed to be successful in post-secondary education and careers. The project requires students to demonstrate what they know and what they can do with the skills acquired in high school.
The Four Parts
The Research Process
Topic Analysis
When selecting a viable topic, students should "begin with the end in mind". This means that a viable topic will be one that is not only interesting to the student for just the paper part, but also one that will realistically have a quality product and service/job shadowing experience at the end as an extension of the paper.
Research
A paper is only as strong as its research. It is important that you find good sources with up-to-date, valid information. There is nothing worse than reading a persuasive paper with facts from the 1990s that have been proven true or false since then, but there is no mention of the more recent research/findings. Find the most up-to-date facts and use them to your benefit.

- An oral presentation, during which, students become a source of information communicating their project work before a review panel.
